Steve Marzenell

Stephen ‘Steve’ S. Marzenell, 67, of Sioux Falls, SD, died Tuesday August 1, in Aberdeen.

Stephen ‘Steve’ S. Marzenell was born to Claude and Joyce (Ernst) Marzenell on November 7, 1955, in Aberdeen, SD. He spent the first six years of his life at the Crippled Childrens Hospital in Sioux Falls. He grew up and attended school in Aberdeen, graduating from Aberdeen Central High School in 1973.

Steve lived a simple life and had a lot of limitations with what he could do. He enjoyed bowling in his younger years and later in life found joy in walking and doing puzzles. He often collected eagles and could be found enjoying music at the Summer Concerts downtown. He always loved spending time with his family and recently found a special love for a friend’s dog, Marley.

Grateful for having shared Steve’s life are his daughter, Elaine Hedlund; Siblings: Kay (Tom) Hageman, Tim (Julia) Marzenell, Guy (Kathy) Marzenell, Todd (Nikki) Marzenell, and Becky Tarver.

Preceding Steve in death are his parents, Claude and Joyce Marzenell; and siblings, Jack Marzenell and Peggy Burton.
