Sharon Dixon

Sharon, 84, of Aberdeen, South Dakota, died Monday, February 17, 2025, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Sharon Lee Elsie was born on March 29th, 1940, in Aberdeen, SD to Emmett and Elsie (Sander) Peterson. Raised on a farm near Mina. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Married Gary Dixon on September 5th, 1961. Together, they welcomed two daughters.

Work includes Sears, Bookkeeper for Red Owl, Bookkeeper for family business; Dixon Construction, Home Daycare Provider to many children spanning two decades, Avon Representative.

Grateful for having shared Sharon’s life are her daughters, Brenda (Aaron) Glasford and Joanne Wolff; grandchildren, Chance (Kelly) Glasford, Ethan (Katie) Glasford, Justyn Wolff, Victoria Locke, and Julia SharonLee; great-grandchildren, Addalyn, Emily, Weston, Charlie, and Miles Glasford, Phoenix Barse & Lennox Locke; brother, Steven (Linda) Jaquith, sister-in-law, Sylvia Peterson, and many nieces and nephews. Sharon also loved and adored her cat, Sugar (Kitty).

Preceding Sharon in death are her parents, husband, brother Emmett Peterson, Jr.
