Rodney K. Hartberg
Rodney Kent Hartberg was born August 17, 1944, to Raymond and Ruth (Jordanger) Hartberg in Britton, SD. He was baptized and confirmed at Augustana Lutheran Church near Langford. He attended country school near the family farm where he grew up and also a country school near Amherst, SD.
Rod joined the Army and was stationed over in Germany. While stationed in Germany, his brother who was also in the Army, was only half a mile away and they didn’t realize that until it was time to come home. So without knowing, they were serving right next to each other.

He loved to go to dances and going on trips to Lemmon, SD with his sisters, Rita and Rose Zakrzewski. He also enjoyed visiting family and friends and always had a joke or a tongue twister for everyone. Rod was an avid car dealer and loved to drive through the car lots and trade cars.
