Randy Wilke

Randy Wilke, 71, of Columbia, SD, died Monday, March 24, 2025, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen, SD from cardiac complications.

Randy was born on October 2, 1953 to George (Bub) and LaVila (Fuhrman) Wilke. He was raised on a farm near Columbia SD and the Sand Lake Refuge. He attended Columbia Grade School, Groton High School and Lake Area Vo-Tech before returning to the farm to help his dad.

Some of his favorite past times included hunting, fishing, softball, trap shooting and horseshoes. Randy and his sidekick Deeks would often be seen driving the countryside or in a drive thru for burgers for the two of them. He enjoyed hunting and fishing trips plus going to the Sturgis Rally and Las Vegas. He always said the best part was turning into his driveway after a trip. He loved the farm, his home and his pets.

Randy was fun and outgoing. He was full of life and was always ready for an adventure with his friends and family. He always had a great story to tell too.

Randy is survived by his sister Cindy (Richard) Traphagen; sister JoDee (Ron) Knecht: numerous nieces and nephews and uncle Melvin Roesch.

He was proceeded in death by his parents George “Bub” and LaVila Wilke.
