Peggy Marie Zimmerman, born on July 24, 1952, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, was a beacon of love, laughter, and resilience. Peggy's life was a testament to the verse, "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come" (Proverbs 31:25). Her infectious joy and love for life, alongside her compassionate nature, left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone she encountered. After 71 vibrant years, Peggy, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024.

Peggy's zest for life was only surpassed by her dedication to her family and her faith. She married Duane Zimmerman on August 16, 1971, and together, they built a life in Aberdeen, South Dakota along with their three children before moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1987. Peggy worked for McCulloch Chainsaw Corp until the plant closed in the mid 90’s. At that time she changed her vocation to the medical field, specifically as a front office worker, which showcased her nurturing spirit. She retired in 2014, but her commitment to others extended beyond her professional life. Peggy had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. Whether it was teaching them to play cards and games or taking them bowling, every moment with them was a cherished memory.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Duane Zimmerman; daughters, Tina (Todd) Wightman and Tracy (Alex) Paul; son, Michael (Whitney) Zimmerman; grandchildren, Reese Weldon, Militsa Paul, Weston Paul, Easton Zimmerman, Addison Zimmerman; and great-grandson, Jude Weldon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Robert Eppard.

May we take comfort in the words of Psalm 23:6, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever." As we remember Peggy, let us celebrate the life she lived and the love she shared.
