Lois Nevill


Lois died Monday, January 27, at Sunny Crest Village in Sioux Falls.
Lois was born November 18, 1932 in Sioux City, IA, to William and Gladys (Carter) Knight. She grew up with 3 siblings and moved many times prior to settling in Aberdeen, SD.
Lois graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1950. She was married to Carol Nevill on July 7, 1951 in Huron, SD. They were blessed with one daughter. Carol and Lois enjoyed riding their Harley’s, camping, traveling, and spending twelve winters down South.
Lois was a jack of all trades, and her hobbies included crafting, crocheting, and reading. She started her own craft store, Creative Crafts, located on Main Street. After this venture, she worked in many areas and for many years at Kleins.
Lois moved to Sioux Falls in 2018, after Carol passed away, where she spent the last nine years with her daughter Gail.
Grateful for having shared Lois’ life are her daughter, Gayle (Dale) Buntrock; grandchildren: Nicole Buntrock (Bryan Ott) and Jamie (Josh) Andersen; great-grandchildren: Joey and Phoebe Andersen, Faith and Atticus Ott; brother: Dennis Knight; and brother-in-law: Don Nevill.
Preceding Lois in death are her parents; husband Carol Nevill; brother Donald Knight, sister Lonna Gage; sisters-in-law Rita Nevill and Norma Stroh; nephews Troy Gage and Ryan Knight; niece Nancy Stroh, and great nephew Shawn Brown.
