Frenda J. Wallace
Frenda Jean Wallace of Broken Arrow, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the age of 95.
Frenda was born Easter Sunday, April 17, 1927 in Wetonka, South Dakota to James and Mabelle (Sizer) Miller. She grew up on a farm not far from Leola, SD. In grade school she attended a one room schoolhouse from 1st-8th grade before graduating from Leola High School.
Frenda continued her education and graduated with a business degree from Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD. After graduation she worked at her alma mater in the business office. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and loved traveling to visit them anytime she could. Frenda ran the United Way in Aberdeen, SD for several years before moving to Rochester, MN. She volunteered at Ronald McDonald House and Methodist Hospital at the Mayo Clinic, both in Rochester, Minnesota. Frenda also resided in New York City and New Jersey. While in New York she worked as a legal secretary in Manhattan.
Frenda converted to Catholicism on March 5, 1980.
Those left to cherish her memory are Son Earl Richard Wallace Jr. and wife Martha of Broken Arrow,
Daughter In Law Peggy Wallace, Grandchildren Clinton Wallace and wife Brandy, Fr. Jason Wallace, Heather Pennington and husband Scott, Brody Wallace, Great-Grandchildren Thai Wallace, Kailey Wallace, Paige Pennington, and Ella Pennington.
Frenda is predeceased by: Son Gary Wallace, Sisters Caroline, Marge, Dorthy, Brothers Dutch, Lawrence, and Carol.
