Ella I. Aipperspach
Ella Irene (Boschee) Aipperspach was called home by her Lord on May 19, 2023.
"It pains me to admit it, but apparently, I have passed away, however, today I am happy, and I am dancing with my forever sweetheart, Gene, where my heart has always been."
Ella was born to Emil and Paulina (Martel) Boschee on May 3rd, 1928 in McIntosh County, ND. She attended a rural school in Logan County, ND where she graduated from the 8th grade. Ella was baptized and confirmed in the Reformed Church located in Wishek, ND.
Ella met Eugene (Gene) Aipperspach in Wishek, ND. They were married in November, 1945 They farmed in the Wishek and Zeeland, ND area for several years moving to Aberdeen, SD in October, 1954.
Four children were born to Ella and Gene, Glenard (Glen) (Inez Deline), Kenneth (Paulette Beck), Claudia (Aipperspach) Sena, and Ron. Her children have blessed her with 5 grandchildren Lee (Jennifer Williams) Aipperspach and Brian (Melyssa Descovich) Aipperspach, Dana & Travis Aipperspach, and Brent Sena. 5 great-grandchildren, Bailee (Samatha) Aipperspach and Aleena Aipperspach, Brilyn, Maverich, and Chole Aipperspach.
In 1961, Ella & Gene assumed ownership of Gene & Ella's Meat Market located on 6th Ave SW in Aberdeen, SD. The business was closed in 1973 due to Gene's health.
Ella was active in her church, Zion Lutheran Church, where she had been a member since 1956. In her younger years, she was active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where she held various offices. Her greatest satisfaction came when she was involved with the Foster Grandparent Program helping children with their reading skills.
In 2013, Ella moved from her home on McGovern Avenue, where she had lived for 35 years, to Arbor Springs Apartments on 8th Avenue NE. In August, 2017, she moved to Firestone, CO where she lived her final years in her daughters care and near her son, Ken and his family.
She was preceded in death by Gene, her parents Emil & Paulina Boschee, her brothers, Milbert (Emmie), Walter (Mabel) , Leon (Mabel, living) , Roland (Janice, living), and her sister, Wilma (Boschee) Thurn (Edwin). She is survived by Glen, Ken, Claudia, Ron, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
