Elda Anna Kolb
Elda A. Kolb, 93, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen.
Elda A. Scheid was born on June 8, 1930, to Adolph and Anna (Spitzer) Scheid in Long Lake, SD. She came from a big family of 13 total siblings.
On April 22, 1951, Elda married Harold Kolb in Aberdeen. They made their home in Aberdeen for many years. In 1979, Harold and Elda moved to a farm near Westport, SD and continued farming. In 2008, after retiring, they moved back to Aberdeen, and enjoyed the fellowship living at Davis Court.
Elda enjoyed word search puzzles and cooking. She was a hard worker and always welcoming. Elda loved her family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared Elda’s life are her children: Deborah (Craig) Anglin, Stan (Linda) Kolb, Mark (Pam) Kolb, Bryant (Cheryl) Kolb, and Renee (Bryon) Cunningham; grandchildren: Tiffani Nielson, Jennifer (Brian) Arneson, Cason (Julie) Kolb, Michael (Melissa) Kolb, Alex (Ashley) Kolb, Christopher Kolb, Justin (Bryanna) Cunningham, Megan (Andrew) Amundson, and Jordan Cunningham (Kaylynn Siedschlag); great-grandchildren: Anna Nielson, Emily Nielson, Tyler Arneson, Ethan Arneson, Greta Arneson, Carissa Kolb, Dominic Kolb, Dylan Kolb, Charlotte Kolb, Milo Kolb, Kamryn Cunningham, Oaklyn Cunningham, Boeden Cunningham, two great-grandchildren on the way; sister, Rachel (Victor) Weisz; and brother, Larry (Delores) Scheid.
Preceding Elda in death are her husband, Harold, in 2011, her parents, her siblings: Raymond Scheid, Arnold Scheid, Wilbert Scheid, Verna Hettich, Ruth Leicht, Lenora Kilber, Delores Scheid (Elda’s twin sister), Violet Scheid, infant brother and twin infant brothers.
